The hike along the path was described by Fogazzaro in Chapter 6 of the novel "Small modern world", published in 1900. Retracing the walking route one follows the path of the two lovers, Jeanne Dessalle and Piero Maironi until the horrid moment over Rio Freddo, with stops in front of boards showing the dialogues of the two protagonists.
