The route of Colceresa is a route, which winds through the hills of Pianezze, Molvena and Mason. It is intertwined with different paths and thus offering numerous variations for hikers. The name derives from the word "collis" joined with the dialect word of "cerexa" - "cerìesa" i.e. cherry. The name pays homage, in fact, to the local product: the cherry.

Since ancient times the rolling hills of the area have produced cherries of excellent quality and particularly pleasant taste, and over the centuries, the cultivation of cherry assumed a great economic importance for the local people.

The today's walk starts from the centre of Mason, alongside the creek of Laverda and then proceeds up the hill to visit the Hermitage of San Pietro. The church is located in a pleasant and charming place, nestled among olive trees and cherry trees, and today it is a place of peace and serenity. Then we go through meadows, orchards and vineyards, olive groves, cherry orchards and many other fruit trees, proceed along the Olive Coast and the Stradona, and return back along the Laverda into the centre of Mason.

Along the way, you can completely immerse yourself in nature, rediscovering colours, scents and sounds, which today are more and more rare.
