The Maresina (Feverfew) is a plant, which grows along country roads or in gardens, and has significant, both pharmacological and culinary values. In Valdagno its name is linked primarily to the traditional "frìtola", but it is also associated with other foodstuffs and various gastronomic-cultural initiatives, such as "La Maresina d'Argento" (The Silver Feverfew), a prestigious and successful gastronomic competition, and the recently established "Confraternita della Maresina" (The Brotherhood of Feverfew).
Farefew is used in the kitchen for preparation of traditional recipes (frìtola with farefew) of first and second courses and desserts. Its use has also been tested in the context of new products, such as chocolates, jams, bread sticks, cheese, ice cream and others.
