The Cherry of Marostica I.G.P. is a round red cherry fruit with a very firm flesh. It was the first cherry in Italy to be awarded the European Seal of Recognition IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta, Eng. Protected Geographical Indication).

The Ciliegia di Marostica IGP must be sold packaged in containers weighing up to 10 kilogrammes, and is recognizable by the correct wording and a logo depicting a red cherry with green peduncle superimposed on a medieval tower resembling a chess piece.
